orensic Interview/Evaluation

Highly trained Forensic Interviewers provide complete interviews and evaluations in a safe, child-friendly environment for alleged child victims of sexual or severe physical abuse. These rooms are arranged for video monitoring, to obtain accurate and reliable information. A one-way glass window allows other professionals to observe interviews and participate as appropriate.

The goal of a forensic interview is to reduce the number of interviews a child victim experiences regarding an allegation of sexual or severe physical abuse. It is a process used to gather factual information from a child victim in a sensitive manner focusing on the child’s developmental level and emotional needs.

After the interview is completed, the caregiver has the opportunity to meet with the interviewer and/or CPS investigator to discuss the next step in the investigation.
